Swim with Manta Rays

If you ever get the chance to do this dive, do it. Below the patio of the Sheraton Hotel in Kailua-Kona on the big island of Hawaii there are underwater lights that attract the manta rays to come very close to the hotel. The dive boat drops the divers a ways out and they swim in on a floatee to meet the mantas.

If for any reason you cannot participate in the dive you can watch it from the hotel’s patio. Even though you don’t see the rays as you do in this video you are able to see them as they come near the surface and expose their white underbelly. Still a worthwhile time investment.
